Dual Citizenship ( retain or not retain Egyptian citizenship)

General Information:

• Applicants must be 21 years old or older.
• Fathers can apply for children under the age of 21 years.
• Fathers application for dual citizenship will automatically apply on their children who are under 21 years on the date of granting them the approval for dual citizenship.
• Processing time approximately 3-4 months.

Requirements & information:

• 3 Application Forms (Free of charge) to be filled at the Consulate signed by the applicant (in case the applicant is less than 21 years old, it can be signed by the Father of the applicant).  Contact Information (Daytime telephone and email).
• Applicant’s original & valid (Egyptian Passport or National ID Card).
• Applicant’s original & valid UK or Foreign Passport.
• Applicant’s Birth Certificate (if you are a national of a foreign country by birth) or original Citizenship Certificate.
• Applicant’s original Egyptian Birth Certificate.
• Father’s original Birth Certificate, National ID and valid Egyptian Passport.
• Grandfather’s original Birth Certificate (should be registered in time / غير ساقط قيد) can be checked through Civil Affairs Authority in Egypt مصلحة الأحوال المدنية 
• 3 recent personal photos (white background).
